Backside Positioning Adhesive is the hot melt glue applied to the back of sanitary napkins and panty liners that allows the user to attach the product to their underwear. It must provide secure adhesion during wear — through movement, moisture, and body heat — yet release cleanly without leaving residue on fabric.

The backside adhesive is literally the only thing keeping a sanitary pad in place. Backside positioning adhesive failure is one of the most common consumer complaints in feminine care: pads that shift, bunch, or detach during use. The ideal adhesive provides high initial tack (sticks immediately upon placement), maintains adhesion under body heat and humidity, and releases completely when the product is removed. Multi-stripe application patterns optimize the balance of adhesion strength and clean release.

• Holding power: > 8 hours at body temperature (37 degrees C) and 60% RH
• Release: Clean removal with no adhesive transfer to fabric
• Application temperature: 130-150 degrees Celsius
