Structural Hot Melt Adhesive is the primary construction glue used in disposable hygiene products. It bonds the nonwoven topsheet, absorbent core, PE backsheet, and closure tapes together to form the final product structure. Without reliable structural adhesive, the layers of a diaper or pad would separate during use.

The Backbone of Hygiene Product Construction

Structural hot melt adhesive is applied at multiple stations throughout the production line: core-to-backsheet lamination, topsheet-to-core bonding, elastic thread securing, and frontal tape attachment. Each application point requires specific adhesive properties — open time, viscosity, bonding strength, and flexibility. Modern hygiene-grade structural adhesives are formulated for low odor, light color (no yellowing), and thermal stability at production line temperatures of 140-170 degrees C.
