The Front Waist Patch (Landing Zone) is a smooth PP film strip applied to the front of a tape-type baby diaper. It provides the landing surface for the hook tapes to attach and reattach, creating the refastenability that allows caregivers to check and adjust the diaper multiple times.

A high-quality front waist patch landing zone has two seemingly contradictory requirements: it must provide strong grip for secure diaper closure, yet release silently and easily when the caregiver needs to open the diaper.
